@rgbredin
You mentioned you were interested in Tricks & Enhancements well you're in the right place & I can teach you the basics and advanced of using Grlevel3 Radar.
First BR stands for Base Refectivity this is where you see the activity such as showers thunderstorms, BV stands for Base Velocity this Product is very useful for detecting Rotation within a storm it shows the winds coming towards and away from the radar & whenever you see bright green next to bright red that means the storm is a Rotating storm by thus will produce tornadoes, SRV is Storm Relative Velocity kinda like BV.
I recommend Bens HD it is Located in the "Color Tables" section of this site it has a stunning picture of a Hook Echo that is in HD, It's on the very 1st page you cannot miss it. I forgot say you can measure rainfall look in the Goodies section for the 'storm total rainfall' it would be under "Rainfall"

I happen to use GR2Analyst 2.94, It is an upgrade from the regular radar's you just might have a upgrade for GR2Analyst 3 It has more features do the lost key service at the GRLEVEL Owner's Forum you would know it if you have a key for it.
